Silas' Favorite Trick

For whatever reason this took hours to load. Now I don't have any energy left to write. Enjoy the video! :)

Silas and Evie

I'd say there is some resemblence here. :) This is Silas with his cousin Evie who is 4 months older than him. Despite being younger he is taller......he'll be the perfect protector for her.
You're also getting to see one of Silas' favorite pasttimes. He LOVES crawling onto and through the coffee table.

"Ahwwwww Man!"

MY VIDEO FEATURE IS WORKING AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited. This is the first video I came to for the test. It is a good one. I love this video. I love how confidently he says "ahwwwww man." And I love Aunt Beth's laugh. Enjoy!

Spring Break Pottery Painting

"Can I eat on my painted plate?" is a quote commonly heard in our household. We went several years ago and painted plates with our friends, the Gettings and we have enjoyed them thoroughly. I especially love that I had the boys put their hand print on the plate. Although not pictured here we again put their hand print on the plates this time. I love seeing those little hands grow.
We had a wonderful morning with Daveney and Beth. Unbeknownst to us the pottery place didn't open until 11 so when we showed up at 10:30 we got to enjoy an added treat of going next door to the bakery and getting a sweet treat. It was so much fun watching these three cousins together.
While we were painting Joel David asked Daveney to be quite at one point because he was concentrating. :) As a fellow artist Beth told Joel David that sometimes when she is painting she realizes that she has been holding her breath while painting because all of a sudden she realizes that she can't breathe. :)
I highly recommend taking your little ones to paint pottery and definitely take along your cousin and aunt, espically when they happen to be good friends too. It makes the time even more fun.

Spring Break??? More Like Winter Break

O what fun we had in our house yesterday. We had a spring break party. And boy did we ever party. The weather decided to go from the upper 70's earlier in the week to the lower 40's the day of the party. So, the outdoor party in the back yard that I had planned with balloons and confetti and darts and all had to quickly be turned into a 3 different stations throughout the house with games and crafts kind of party. Why so organized you might wonder. THERE WERE SIXTEEN OF THEM....boys that is, all ranging from 3 to about 8 years old. (That is not including 3 toddlers and a crawler that were welcomed siblings). :) We really had a blast and in the end......I'll let you in on a little secret......Tom and Jerry are great friends to wearied moms and kids of all ages enjoy their "company." They saved the day for the last 20min. or so.
The cake was so fun and a huge hit. I saw this in the familyfun magazine and have been dying to make it for a long time. Before serving it each of the SIXTEEN boys got to pick a piece off of the dragon. It was a great treat for them and a good time "waster" :) for me.
A fun tidbit: Benjamin saw the cake after I made it and said that is so cool Mommy. I think you should make some fire coming out of his mouth. What a great idea I exclaimed. So, I used the red fruit roll ups for the flames. What a great suggestion.
Whoops! Just for the record. There was ONLY 15 boys. Shalom was the token girl in attendance. O, and also. I could not have pulled off the party without the help of two great girls. Elizabeth Coplon and Lydia Grace. They were such great helpers with set-up, during, and clean-up. (That is another one of my secrets to getting it all done.)
