Brotherly Love

I took these pictures one morning before school. As you can see Silas has been a very welcomed member of the family. We all LOVE having a new baby in the house.

Tree vs. Joel David

Guess who won? We have a tree growing out of a cut out in our deck and the boys love climbing it. This is the second round of the tree winning the match. The first time Joel David got the cuts on his back. I'm sure I'll see a lot more matches in the future.

Kindergarden Project #1

I've begun to get a glimpse of just how busy I'm going to be with kindergarden projects. :) I think it is a good thing that I like to craft. This was a really fun first project. We each had to trace our foot and then decorate it with things that describe us. Don't you just love the itty bitty Silas footprint? I love it too that Benjamin chose a small basketball sticker for his nose. And Taylor made the perfect glasses for Joel David, don't you think?

An Hourly Request

Joel David LOVES holding Silas and regularly asks to. Here is one of these sweet moments. Silas puts up with Joel David for the most part but after 2 minutes of straight cheek touching and nose to nose conversation Silas is done. Joel David is very well intentioned, just a little smothering. :)

Ready for Battle

Benjie Two Shorts is ready for battle. Benjamin went to a birthday party this weekend that was cowboy themed. He decided (all on his own) to go dressed as an indian. How cute. The outfit is one that his Mia (grandmother) made for Towns and Taylor when they were little. Once I get Joel David pictured in his indian costume I'll be sure to post that one too.

Cowboy or comedian?

You pick. He really likes playing the part, huh? and posing for pictures. The most fun for me is watching him get dressed up. He concentrates on every little detail of the costume and all the pieces he puts on. He is so in to it and then to watch him walk around once the outfit is complete, he is so proud and confident.

Littlest cowboy

That's right, we start dressin em up young around here. :) Actually, this is all Taylor's doing. :) This cowboy hat belongs to Woody (a doll of Benjamin's) from the movie Toy Story.

Sweet Joel David

So what do you want to know most about him in this picture? The fact that he is holding a horse folder on his head, the fact that he is wearing an eye patch, or the fact that his bulging ribs look like he hasn't eaten in months. Well, he is very in to horses these days, and picked this folder out for school. He loves it. Yes, we are still patching his eye one hour a day and could be doing that until he is 8 years old. We are patching the good eye for the weak eye to be forced into working. Without this intervention the weak eye could go totally blind. Needless to say, we have great incentive to make sure we get the patching done. And his ribs....I promise he eats, regularly. The angle at which the picture was taken makes them look like they are protruding but I assure you that with his arms at his side he looks very normal. :)

"Pirate" Benjamin

This is one of Benjamin's favorite looks these days. It is his staple costume. Nice that it is quick and easy. Carrying with the theme, want to hear a pirate joke that Taylor told me? So there was this pirate with two eye patches, two parrots on his shoulders and two peg legs. Two pirates behind him looked on and one remarked to the other "Arrgh!!! He be twice the man that I could ever wish to be."

Saturday Morning Fun

How about those shirtless 2 snuggling with their little brother. They were so proud to be pictured with him. Love it, love it, love it.

Soo-Goo (pronounced Sue-Goo)

This is what Benjamin has recently and affectionately nick named his littler brother. I can't get over this sweet little face.

Si-guy @ 13 weeks

Here's our 13 week old little buddy. These pictures are a week old since he is actually 14 weeks old right now but I just had to share these pictures. He continues to be the happiest baby, always smiling, always cooing. Just yesterday he started rolling over from his back to his belly. He has not fully mastered it yet but he'll be a champ real soon. He is also pulling himself forward in order to sit up. He's growing up so fast. We love having a new baby in the Gray household.

First Family Picture of 5

We finally got a picture of our new family of 5. Benjamin had to have a family picture for a Kindergarden project. They are going to make a family tree of all of the families in his class-what a cute idea. Anyway, it finally got us to make a family picture. Silas is 3 months old now so I'd say it is about time we got a family picture. The fun facts surrounding the picture are the moments before and after it was taken. It was a rainy day (without lightening) and the boys were playing outside in the rain and puddles. Taylor got home from work and put the boys in the bathtub, they got their clothes on, I blow dried their hair, we took the picture, the boys then took thier clothes back off, put their pajamas on, ate dinner, had story time with daddy, and went to bed. All in a nights work.....the boys even got to bed on time.
